State Express, the analog that launched a thousand 555s. I never smoked one of these, but the juices are unavoidable. Typically I have not been a fan. The coupling of tobacco with a bungled nut element is not particularly attractive to me, but there have been a couple of exceptions that I thought were very well done. These cigarettes have a nut element to them? I think I would have been a little freaked out as a smoker to light up a smoke and taste nut, but apparently it's a very popular brand in Europe and Asia. We can thank State Express for the weird nut element in so many tobacco vapes I guess.
This is another pre-release juice from want2vape. When and if this shows up on their web site for purchase, it may or may not be the same formula that I am vaping today.
So far want2vape has impressed me with a couple of original tobacco extracts that I thought were quite good. If any of you reading this think that you can soak a little tobacco in PG and end up with an extract that will make a good tobacco base, well, you're mistaken. It takes a little craft to come up with a good extract, and I have a great deal of respect for vendors who pull it off. Based on Red Pirate and Alcazar I expect great things from want2vape. Look for a web site redesign and lots of new product from them sometime in the near future.
Let's get to The Lab, where I will be vaping this 12mg juice of unknown blend on my Bombshell at 3.7v.
The nose of this juice has a very strong DK Tab resemblance. Speaking of DK Tab, many of the previous tobacco entries that have a nut note to them have that DK Tab similarity. I didn't know this, because I started vaping Backwoods, Vaperite and Vapor Station as a brand new vaper. I never went through a Dekang phase, in fact, I never vaped Dekang before last week, when I ordered a couple bottles on a goof. Sure enough, there was that familiar, weird nut note. So now that I have that frame of reference, I will mention when a nut component is DK Tab-like or not. For the record, Halo and Vapor Station juices that are nutty do not taste anything like DK Tab. want2vape Marl Lite does. It must be a common flavoring shared by these juices, or in an attempt to recreate the throat hit and flavor of DK Tab vendors must have isolated some ingredient that is responsible for this flavor. It's not unwholesome or off-putting. It's very much like vaping nicotine fortified peanut butter, and I have become strangely attracted to it.
The flavor on inhale is like a light analog. Throat hit is excellent for a 12mg juice.
The flavor on exhale is a combination of DK Tab and light analog. This is a more subtle DK Tab than I am used to, and it's pretty good actually. The ones that are strong are usually very strong, and I chuckle while vaping because it's just such a bizarre flavor, yet I like it. This delivers a more mellow body than those juices, and the end result is a balance that is nicely in between DK Tab and light analog, which I am guessing is the target. If that is the case, want2vape has a total success. It works very well. Vapor production is above average for a PG blend, but I do not know for sure what the base of this juice is, and Donley is on vacation til the 10th.
As 555s go, this is a very nice implementation. No wrong notes. Performance is great for a 12mg juice, much more satisfying than I expected. Much more analog-like than most of the 555s out there. It's easy to get behind a good guy who makes good juice, and that's how I feel about want2vape. Recommended.
