Vapor Station makes some of the best juice in the business. That isn't a paid endorsement, it's my honest opinion. I haven't ordered a bottle from them yet that I haven't liked. If you ask me who my favorite vendor is, Vapor Station is one of probably three names that immediately pops into my head.
The first order I placed with Vapor Station was just a two bottle test order, but the 15ml bottle of VS Frisco disappeared faster than any juice we've had yet here at Castle Vapenstein. I liked both of the juices I got in that first order quite a bit, and the second order that followed closely on the heels of the first produced the same results. Three bottles that were really, really good, and induced me to place a third order, which I am sitting on the cart right now trying to decide if I want to add anything else to.
I always order a juice I haven't tried in 10-15ml, then if it passes the rigorous testing here in The Lab we go back for a bigger bottle. One of the things that contributes to how quickly I fall in love with Vapor Station juices is that as a side effect of being produced in India (Eric developed the recipes in cooperation with an Indian flavor producer) these juices show up ready to vape right out of the mail. You don't need to sit on Vapor Station juices til the flavors mature. They're already there. That is really nice, because a lot of the juice we like needs at least two weeks in The Juice Cellar to mature before it's ready to vape. No waiting with Vapor Station juices.
VS Frisco is Vapor Station's version of 555. I do not like 555. The 555's I've tried have had a wrong chocolate note to them, and they just haven't been my thing. However, VS Frisco was highly endorsed on ECF, and Vapor Station's description sounded good: Frisco is boasted by its fans as the absolute best in nutty tobacco blends on the market. Unlike the popular 555 flavor and it's peanut undertone, Frisco is embraced by a beautiful hazelnut-vanilla and roasted tobacco leaf quality and is sure to satisfy. Highly recommended!
VS juice comes in glass stopper bottles, which I like, and most of them are water-clear. They are also a little on the thin side, but this hasn't produced the problems that some thin looking juices do. VS juice does not make for a watery mess in your atty. They vape nice and they burn nice in your atomizer.
Vaping VS Frisco at 16mg on a 3.7v device produces a good throat hit, and like all Vapor Station juice the vapor production is very good. Not sure what Vapor Station's PG/VG mix is, but Eric has the right combo.
The tobacco side of VS Frisco is similar to VS Tampa, which reminds me a lot of Marlboro Light. However, whereas VS Tampa is all about the tobacco, in VS Frisco tobacco doesn't dominate. You know what VS Frisco is all about the first time you open the bottle. I have never had such a strong smelling juice, and it tastes exactly like it smells. The nut component is dominant. It's definitely not peanut-y, which was a relief because I don't find the idea of a tobacco-peanut blend appealing. It is very strong for a hazelnut, so be advised of said nuttiness.
My general impression of VS Frisco is of dry tobacco leaf soaked in hazelnut oil. Sound good? It is. There is also something else going on there, something really, really familiar. I taste it less frequently now that the bottle has been repeatedly exposed to the atmosphere, and perhaps it's a function of my taste buds becoming accustomed to VS Frisco. I think the vanilla component is the reason. Early on I tasted it all the time, and I get a whisper of it now, but I turned to Mrs. Doctor Vapenstein one night while we were vaping VS Frisco and asked her if she got it too. I said I detected something other than tobacco and nut, and could only describe it as a breakfast cereal component. Fifteen minutes later she turned to me and said "Captain Crunch", and she was right on the money. You may not get that from VS Frisco, and that impression does lessen with time. Don't let the Captain Crunchiness I describe put you off. It's delicious.
VS Frisco is my favorite night time, after dinner, Igor safely tucked into bed, and watching a movie with Mrs. Doctor Vapenstein vape. So easy to get along with. So delicious. I find it to be one of my very favorite juices, along with VS Tampa. It receives the Vapenstein It's Alive! Award. Heartily recommended.
