There is not one non-tobacco vape in my regular rotation. I've awarded only two non-tobacco juices Vapenstein It's Alive! Awards, and they both are juices I vape only infrequently. I crave tobacco, and I lose interest in non-tobaccos very quickly.
Today I am vaping the standout from the batch of juice that Prime Vaping sent me, and surprisingly it's not a tobacco vape. I have found myself vaping this bottle dry very quickly, and it's a sure 30ml order for me following the depletion of my sample. This juice has withstood the test of initial infatuation, because days after I started vaping it I am just as drawn to it today.
The juice is Prime Vaping Boston Cream Pie. Just the sort of juice that I would normally think "hmmm, that tastes good", and then never vape again. Well, read on. I'm still vaping it.
I will be vaping this 18mg 70PG/30VG blend at 3.7v on my Copper with an SLB 1.7 ohm atty.
The nose of this juice has a great chocolate scent that has some sizzle to it. It doesn't tell you exactly why the chocolate is different. That comes on inhale. It does make you pay attention though. There is also a creamy quality to the fragrance.
The flavor on inhale is extraordinary. I get chocolate liqueur, in spades. Vape the Rockies W-J-G, one of my favorite analog replacements, gives a subtle impression of chocolate liqueur. Here it is more pronounced. I also get a creamy finish that is very nice. The two elements live harmoniously. I don't know that I would say Boston Cream Pie in a blind test. Definitely in that neighborhood. I might guess chocolate eclair, but it is right on the money knowing what the target is. Throat hit of this juice is excellent, another factor in why I like it so much.
The flavor on exhale is a sweet deep chocolate that has those liqueur leanings. You know this is Boston Cream Pie, so your brain tells you this is right on the money. Missing the cake perhaps, or maybe that is what is suppying the depth. It is a little cake batter-ish. It's mostly about that chocolate note, but you never think of it as just a chocolate vape. Really good. Vapor production is average for a PG blend.
This juice tastes to me like it could have come from Vape the Rockies, which from me is high praise. It makes me doubly self-conscious that I haven't awarded any It's Alive!s to VtR, because I hold Fred's juice in such high esteem.
I am giving this juice an It's Alive! Award, because to date it is my single favorite non-tobacco vape. Outstanding flavor paired with very satisfying performance that makes me forget why I ever wanted to smoke a cigarette equals super win in my book. This is why vendors take their chances with sending me juice. If I'm not nuts about the juice, you'll know. Just ask Prime Vaping. I'm sure they weren't too thrilled with my reception of their French Toast on Monday. Well here's the payout. Their Boston Cream Pie is way, way, way above average. Heartily recommended.
