Apple Tobacco. It sounds obvious, doesn't it? Like that is just something every vendor should be making. It's the reason Ares got my attention in the first place. They made this when no one else was making one.
Jon at Prime Vaping sent me this sample when I was stocking up on either Love From Above or Boston Cream Pie. It's Prime Vaping's natural tobacco extract plus some apple. Sounds perfect.
Speaking of Love From Above, yes yes, I've been vaping it forever now and I still haven't reviewed it. I know. It's coming, I just didn't have time today to do it justice. Actually Jon also sent me 8th Wonder, which is their natural tobacco extract version of Love From Above, and I really need to spend some time with that one before I commit my thoughts about Love From Above to publishing. -Jon emailed to correct me on this. 8th Wonder is another artifically flavored tobacco vape, not a natural tobacco version of LFA.
Anyway, today we are concerned with Apple Tobacco, so let's head to The Lab with this 18mg 70PG/30VG juice. I will be vaping this brew at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.7 ohm SLB atty.
The nose of this juice is a sweeter version of the grassy musk that their natural tobacco has.
The flavor on inhale is an almost indiscernibly sweeter version of their natural tobacco. The apple really doesn't come into play yet other than to add a subtle sweetness to the inhale, but knowing that it's apple, if you concentrate you can pick it out. It isn't a strong, in your face apple, just a compliment to their natural tobacco base. The throat hit is very good, satisfying and more than acceptable for a tobacco vape. I can't keep Prime Vaping juice around. I review them, throw them in my PV case and vape them when I'm away from the Castle, and they disappear fast. I suppose I need to place another order, as Prime Vaping has become one of the few vendors whose juice I reach for any time of the day. Great stuff.
The flavor on exhale is where the apple is more evident. It's still a supporting actor though, and I am surprised at how well the flavor is balanced here. This is a very good tobacco vape, and the introduction of the apple does nothing to detract. The apple is a sweet and subtle period at the end of the sentence. It's more of the Red Delicious flavor. Doesn't have the tartness of a Granny Smith or the very sweet note of a Fuji, and as a result it doesn't call as much attention to itself. Overall, this is a tobacco vape. The apple is just a little bonus and doesn't steal the show. Vapor production is average for a PG blend.
I am very happy with this juice. I personally lean toward 8th Wonder and the Natural Tobacco unadorned, but this is a very nice flavor that is executed very well and is something you don't see a lot of vendors doing. As always, Prime Vaping juice performs great. It burns clean, provides better than average throat hit and produces nice vapor. There's a reason Prime Vaping became one of my favorite vendors so fast. Their juice is excellent.
No awards today, but a hearty recommendation and some Vapenstein love for Prime Vaping. Great juice and a quality vendor.
