I chew gum. It's kind of a ridiculous habit, and I'm sure the sight of someone chomping on chewing gum doesn't impress anyone. I've been a smoker for over 30 years, and when I'm places where I can't vape I just have to do something. I alternate between snus and gum. I guess I'm a little high strung. My personal favorite is Extra Key Lime Pie, if anyone's interested.
Bubble gum is a childhood favorite that brings fond memories to many adults. Little Igor loves gum. I guess it was kind of a big boy thing to him starting when he was four or so, and now I find his spent gum in all the places it shouldn't be despite many conversations on the subject. We frequent an ice cream shop that's been dishing up the same ice cream since we were kids, and Mrs. Doctor Vapenstein always orders Bubble Gum, without fail. It's the butterscotch malt for me. In fact, when I was a young adult the house rule when friends were over was that if someone mentioned said shop they were going on a communal run there for all the people present.
The last bubblegum juice I vaped tasted like hairspray, so I have my fingers crossed that I won't have to destroy a perfectly good atty after this. Let's get in there and dissect this 18mg 70PG/30VG blend. I will be vaping this juice at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.7 ohm SLB atty.
The nose of this light amber juice is sweet and slightly on-target, but it's sweeter than bubblegum and there is something else present that leads my mind in a different direction. On smell alone I wouldn't identify it as bubblegum, and other than "dessert vape" I find myself at somewhat of a loss.
The flavor on inhale is is sweet and contains the powdery element that the target has. It doesn't strongly broadcast gum, yet. This transitions straight into a very respectable throat hit. Great throat hit for such a sweet juice, and you really know you're vaping something.
The flavor on exhale is similar to the inhale in that the flavor seems half right. I get sweet, I get powdery, and this time there is enough body to make me one hundred percent certain that this is supposed to be bubblegum. It's just not perfect. There is a quality to the main flavor that is off-target. It totally tells you bubblegum, but is it a dead ringer? No, it's in the neighborhood, but it's not a bullseye. Also, the target brand and other penny candy versions of bubblegum all have a slightly bitter, acrid element to them. It's subtle, but it's there in all of them. Not here. I think maybe he tried to nail that element, and that may be what is responsible for the flavor package being slightly off. In any event, there is nothing wrong with this juice, it's just not a perfect bubblegum. Vapor production is average for a PG blend.
Vape the Rockies BZooka Bubblegum is a good performing juice that is a satisfying vape. For me, the flavor profile falls short of the target. Thankfully, there was no hairspray here and I didn't have to go brush my teeth and destroy my atty afterward. Good, but not great.
