Today's review is long overdue. Tasty Vapor's Natural Tobacco may be the oldest natural tobacco juice in all of vaping. It's one of them anyway. It was around when I started vaping, and I have overlooked their juice until now.
I'll admit that I wasn't in a bug rush to order any Tasty Vapor juice. For one, I pretty much only vape tobacco, and they just have the one. Also, they don't get as much buzz as the A list vendors, even though they're one of the founding fathers of vaping. It seemed to me like a lot of people started on Tasty Vapor and then moved on, kind of like Freedom Smoke USA.
The ounce bottles probably put me off too. Most juice I can't stomach past a review session, so big bottles are wasteful and expensive. They started offering 10ml samples, and that was my invitation to finally order some of this juice.
So without further adieu let's dive into this cornerstone of vaping. I will be vaping this 24mg 80PG/20VG juice at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.7 ohm SLB atty.
The nose of this juice is a mild, grassy natural tobacco. I also get a sweet note.
The flavor on inhale is excellent. This surprised me. Most tobacco extracts are insipid, weak things that do not do justice to tobacco. Not like smoking, however this is one of the few juices that really tells your brain it's tobacco. It's helped by the PG ratio and the nic strength, but this one is one of the better tobacco inhales in the business. Throat hit is just dandy. Not top shelf, but more than adequate to provide satisfaction.
The flavor on exhale is similarly dry and lightly hay-like, as you would expect of a light to medium-bodied tobacco extract. It's golden sunshine and fresh outdoor air in a vape, with one caveat. Geoff's choice of sweetener here tries to spoil the party. It doesn't succeed, but I am very aware of it the whole time I vape this juice. It's the one thing that keeps this one from garnering an It's Alive! Award. It tastes slightly off, the way that artificial sweeteners can taste slightly off when they aren't used with a very light hand. It has a slight saccharine twinge to it, and I am old enough to remember when saccharine was the dominant artificial sweetener in the marketplace. The tobacco extract here is worthy of praise, so don't let that one note put you off. Vapor production is average for a PG blend.
This is an old school tobacco extract. It's the king of the old school tobacco extracts, and I'm surprised that we don't talk about this one more. I find it to be an outstanding effort. Of the community's oldest tobacco extracts, this one is much more flavorful and satisfying. This would have been a juice that successfully got me off nails if I had found it in the beginning, and I can't think of much higher praise for a tobacco vape. Good quality natural tobacco with a little too much sweetener for my tastes, but an excellent vape nonetheless. Go try some of this if you haven't already. You may be as surprised as I was at just how good a job they did with almost no one else doing natural extracts when this blend was conceived. There is more convincing tobacco juice out there today, but this is one of the first and has influenced everything that came after. A historic and excellent tobacco vape.
