This is how blind testing works. You get samples labeled with some kind of alpha-numeric identifier. You have no idea what they are. Now give your impressions.
Shouldn't be a problem, right? You trust your palate. Should be a piece of cake.
No. No, it isn't a piece of cake. I frequently blind test extract samples as we try to develop new varieties of Vapenstein Blend. My experience is that 25% of the time you are absolutely sure what you taste and your guesses are accurate. 50% of the time it is very difficult to guess what you're tasting and you are unsure of your response. 25% of the time you give completely wrong guesses, tasting coffee where there should be cranberry, or something to that effect. It is very difficult to do this accurately. Our brains really need a push in the right direction for most of us to have a frame of reference for sensory input.
So today I am kind of blind testing another juice, because Joogler Juice does not tell me what to expect from Blend #8. They provide absolutely no description at all for this juice. Fortunately there is one user review on their site that leads me to suspect it may be s'mores, but maybe that is just the impression of another blind tester gone horribly wrong.
I will be vaping this 18mg 70PG/30VG juice at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.7 ohm SLB atty.
The nose of this amber juice is sweet and I am glad of the review on their site, because that person nailed it, or at least influenced me into thinking they're right. It's graham cracker-y.
The flavor on inhale is more elusive. I don't get big flavor cues on inhale, and this juice transitions right into surprisingly excellent throat hit so it breaks your concentration. The throat hit of this vape is commendable.
The flavor on exhale is more of what I perceive as graham cracker. I am looking for marshmallow and chocolate here, and I don't find chocolate, however I do get a whisper of something that could be marshmallow. Trying to determine whether or not this is actually s'mores aside, the flavor here is very good. I imagine this juice could be a mystery to many who vape it, but I don't think people will have a tough time deciding whether it's yummy or not. Vapor production is average for a PG blend.
In the end balance, this is good freaking juice. The flavor is pleasant and one that won't wear you out quickly, it burns well, and the performance is superb. The throat hit of this juice is a very welcome surprise. It also captures that magical X factor; a sensation of lung and throat satisfaction on exhale. This isn't a tobacco vape, but I think it's a way above average analog replacement despite that. This is my kind of non-tobacco vape, and Joogler finally scored with me, in a big way. I won't go as far as to give it my highest endorsement, but it's knocking on the door. I recommend this juice enthusiastically.
