It's been a long time since I reviewed a juice from Todd at Vaperite. I was fortunate in that I found Vaperite very early in my vaping career, and Todd showed me that giving up smoking didn't necessarily mean giving up tobacco. Vaperite, along with Tasty Vapor, Vermont Vapor, want2vape and Backwoods Brew, is one of the pioneers of the natural tobacco extract juice. Newcomers have shown up in the last year, but to my knowledge these five vendors were the first to start offering natural tobacco juices to vapers.
Not all of Todd's tobacco vapes are natural tobacco. There are at least a couple FlavourArt juices in his lineup. I think that today's juice probably falls in the artificially flavored category, since he makes no mention of a house extract on the product page for it.
Vaperite 777 Tobacco is described as an earthy take on the traditional 555. Nut and tobacco. I don't mind this combination at all when it's executed well, so let's head to The Lab to see if Vaperite 777 can meet our demanding performance benchmarks.
I will be vaping this 16mg 50PG/50VG blend at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.7 ohm SLB atty.
The nose of this juice has a pretty nondescript presentation. Very faint trace of sweetness and maybe nut.
The flavor on inhale is slightly sweet on the tip of the tongue, and if you clear your thoughts you could project tobacco onto this. If you slow down and let the vapor linger in your mouth there is definitely a soft, round nutty quality to it that is quite pleasant. It's not very forward though, preferring to stand just to the side of subtle. None of these observations are negative. This juice just doesn't strongly broacast what it's about on inhale or aroma. The throat hit here is just there and just shy of average for a tobacco vape. I find Vaperite juice to be a little light on throat hit, but YMMV. Throat hit is a huge part of the equation for me, and the reason I spend most of my time vaping Halo juice. I have to have it to feel satisfied.
The flavor on exhale is very softly nutty, in a mild base that suggests tobacco. Vapor production is above average, as you would expect of a 50/50 blend.
This juice will probably be right on the money as an all day vape for a lot of people. Me, well, when I go out to eat it's usually Indian, Thai or Korean. I like big, bold flavors. This one is too noncommital for me, but I can't fault the quality of this vape. The flavor profile is light, but it is good. This is the sort of vape that won't get anyone doing cartwheels, but at the same time I doubt anyone is going to be put off by it either. That makes it the sort of vape that will appeal to the largest audience, and for that this juice is quite successful. Me, I want a little more kick. Good juice, just a little too polite for my tastes.
