There are only two things I can think of that will placate a cigarette smoker who is trying to give up cigarettes. Vaping and snus. Not everyone wants to use snus, and vaping has its own set of drawbacks despite the fact that it satisfies the hand to mouth fixation that cigarette smokers suffer. Atty design is an Achilles Heel, and for whatever reason vaping doesn't seem to have the short term fulfillment that smoking did. I can easily vape nonstop all day long, constantly chasing that fix that made me smoke. I have never been able to vape a little and then go for a period without vaping anything. I always have my device in hand.
Vaping works for me. I was motivated by wanting to stick around for Little Igor, so I was and am willing to put up with the areas where vaping leaves something to be desired. Even so, I am constantly seeking juice that scratches that old itch, and I know that I am not alone in that. That's why you're here. Vapenstein has over 200 juice reviews, and almost all of them are tobacco vapes.
Today's test subject is Vapure Full Flavored. Let's get this 24mg 100%VG juice into The Lab and see if it's got what it takes to make tobacco vapers satisfied. I will be vaping at 3.7v with a brand new 1.7 ohm SLB 510 on my Silver Bullet.
The nose of this amber juice is dry and powdery, slightly perfumey. Hmm, deja vu.
The flavor on inhale is also dry and powdery, but not as overwhelming as the aroma. Throat hit is about average for a tobacco vape, so that's pretty good coming from an all-VG juice.
The flavor on exhale is where things change up a bit. I still get that dry, powdery, perfumey thing going on, but now there is an element that suggests tobacco vape to me. I think it may be a very miniscule addition of some kind of capsaicin. If so, it's handled well and never comes across as chili pepper. Still, this vape's flavor profile is way off target. Vapor production is dense, but not quite on par with many 100% VG juices I've vaped.
I am not going to give Vapure a Toe Tag for this, just some advice. They have a nice web site, the service is very good, and I appreciate that they were one of the pioneers of all-VG juice. Still, it's time to fire the flavoring chemist and start over. None of these juices are up to snuff. The web is full of people making and/or selling juice, and there is a lot of good stuff to vape out there. Their juice can't even hang with the mediocre stuff. Harsh criticism I know. I'd like to see them do better. I just can't recommend any of their juice.
