2011 saw a long stretch with no new tobacco vapes from top tier vendor Vaperite. Vaperite Cherry Pop Tobacco is one of three new juices from Vaperite that I was excited to try when they came out last year. Having reviewed the first two, I am now finishing up with a flavor that is sure to a popular favorite, as vapers love sweet tobacco vapes.
There are infinite possibilities for flavored tobacco vapes, but everyone keeps falling back on caramel and mystery nut. I am always happy to see some vendor do something unique and interesting, as there is only so much room for improvement in the realm of caramel and mystery nut tobacco vapes. Cherry cola is a great idea for a tobacco vape, one that should provide a sweet, dark topnote that is a nice compliment to the base beneath.
This is a natural tobacco extract, so I look for a nice tobacco base from the pioneer of natural tobacco extracts. Natural tobacco juice contains a high concentration of solids, and this makes these juices harmful toward attys. You can help offset this by using a product like Atty Refresher, or by alternating natural tobacco juices with juice that is thin and burns very cleanly.
I will be vaping this 16mg 50/50 blend at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.5 ohm Joye 306. Best device and best atty in my experience. I am pretty much done with other attys, and as far as devices go, unless someone wants to send me a variable voltage device to win me over to the VV side, I am vaping on a Silver Bullet til they put me in the ground.
The nose of this juice is sweet, sweet cherry. I get Maraschino. The tobacco still comes through.
The flavor on inhale is that maraschino cherry I smelled in something that resembles cherry cola. It tastes to me like a cherry cola flavor though, and not like I just took a sip of cherry cola. The impression of tobacco vape is there, and the throat hit is above average. This is a satisfying natural tobacco that delivers a solid first impression, performance-wise.
The flavor on exhale is very much a cherry cola flavored tobacco vape. I don't get that magic sensation of genuine cherry cola, but I get what it's supposed to be. Listen, trying to make magic out of flavorings, PG and VG is tricky work. It's practically a miracle when one nails the target, and that's all the more reason to applaud the ones that do. Vapor production is average for a PG blend, perhaps a little underperforming for a 50/50 ratio.
Todd reinvented the wheel with his VR4, giving vapers an RY4 variant with a caramel element so ridiculously true to life that it made most others seem sad in comparison. He didn't hit this one out of the park, but it's not a whiff either. This will appeal to people who want a sweet, candy-like cherry pop vape with a tobacco underbelly. Tobacco vapers with a sweet tooth and dessert vapers looking for something with a little oomph might really find favor with this one. It's too sweet for me, but it's a quality juice with good performance characteristics.
