New product launches and sick dogs have prevented me from writing for the last couple of weeks. I have overdue kudos to dish out to Vapenstein Super Minion Micki Bingham, who was the winner of the trivia sweepstakes on the Vapenstein Facebook page. Congratulations Micki, and thanks for playing!
Today I have a juice from our old friend Todd Gano at Vaperite, Vaperite Organic 2x Butterscotch.
Some years back I used to spend every Sunday at a friend's house, hanging out and relaxing. Various substances were smoked, take out bar food was eaten, and the standing house rule was that if anyone mentioned the name of a certain local ice cream chain that person would be making the ice cream run. My favorite and the only item I ever bought for myself was the biggest butterscotch malt they sold. Frosty heaven in a waxed paper cup. Sugar, butter and milk, just like caramel. The emphasis of butterscotch is brighter and more focused on the butter.
Let's take this 16mg non-dairy confection into The Lab, where I will be vaping it at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.5 ohm Joye 306.
The nose of this dark amber juice is awesomely buttery-sweet.
The flavor on inhale is sweet and buttery, transitioning into a pretty decent throat hit for a non-tobacco vape.
The flavor on exhale is where the flavor really takes over, and the lingering aftertaste just seals the illusion. This is a butterscotch hard candy you can vape, plain and simple. There is nothing mysterious or complex about this juice, and for what it is it succeeds magnificently. Vapor production is above average for a PG blend, and I honestly don't know if my bottle is 50/50 or 70/30.
Another solid juice from the Vaperite catalog. Not quite as compelling for me as Vermillion River Butter Rum, but an excellent vape all the same.
