This review has been a long time coming. VS Tampa was my all day vape for the first few months I started vaping. A year and a half later it's still just about the only thing that Mrs. Doctor Vapenstein likes to vape.
I still like to vape a bottle of VS juice now and then. Plus I have to keep Mrs. Doctor in Tampa. Recently when momma was just about out of juice I threw a 15ml of Vapor Station VS4 on the order. For some reason I had never gotten around to vaping this one.
On paper VS4 sounds great. It seems to me that I remember hearing that it was the product of Vapor Station's first attempt at an RY4, but they went back to the drawing board because this one tasted like toffee instead of caramel. Lucky for us, because this is a solid vape, and a nice variation on the RY4 theme.
Let's get right to the action. I will be vaping this 24mg 50/50 blend at 3.7v on my Silver Bullet with a 1.5 ohm Joye 306. I never realized that VS juice was mostly 60/40 to 50/50, but it explains why they're ever so slightly less atty friendly. Very thin for so much VG though.
The nose of this juice is kind of a generic but pleasant sweetened tobacco vape. It reminds me just a little of one of the flavored Vermillion River tobaccos.
The flavor on inhale displays the characteristic Vapor Station nutty sweetness. Vapor Station's tobacco base is unique in all of vaping. They use a mixture of natural extract and tobacco absolute, and it just doesn't really resemble anyone else's juice. The nutty component varies in strength in their different blends, but it's there in all of them. In this case, it's NOT a bad thing. The quality of flavor is really nice and you won't be thinking DK Tab when you take a blast. In VS4 this element is much milder than it is in most of the VS tobaccos. I was pleasantly surprised when I first loaded this juice, and there was a real danger that I was going to kill this bottle before the review, so I put it away. Throat hit is not spectacular, but does qualify as above average and does the job.
The flavor on exhale is where the toffee element becomes evident. It's nice. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a caramel flavored tobacco vape, so it's a pleasant deviation from the norm. The nutty sweetness is again less than the average VS tobacco, and I like it. There is a slight smoky/ashy element on exhale. Overall, Vapor Station just about knocked it out of the park with this juice. Vapor production is average to slightly above average for a PG blend. Below average for a 50/50.
VS4 is a totally solid tobacco vape that is way above average and straddles the line of being an It's Alive! winner. I don't know that it's a reorder for me, but it is excellent nonetheless. A nicely sweetened tobacco vape that doesn't taste fake and never gets cloying. One of the best examples of this type of vape you'll find, and heartily recommended.
