If you've been reading you know that I've only been vaping on modern hardware pretty much since the start of 2015. Prior to that for four and a half years right up until the end of 2014 I vaped on Joye 306LR attys. My Silver Bullet is still in service as my commuting device, but I only have one atty in reserve for it and once that one is toast I am retiring the SB. I got four years out of my Silver Bullet, and it will be fully functional when I retire it. Let that sink in. Fantastic mod and worth every penny I paid for it. The powder coated finish even held up and it only has a couple very small chips on the atty end of the tube.
One of the first things I noticed when I dragged myself out of the stone age of vaping was that I was going to go through a lot more juice. Nick's Blissful Brews Smoked Custard Plus was an instant hit with me and became my all day vape, but the day of the $20+ 30ml bottle is over. Dead. Seriously juice makers, you need bigger bottles and lower prices if you want most of us to vape your juice. $23 for a 30ml was ok when that bottle was going to last me a couple weeks or more, but I can kill that bottle in two days now. Don't call your juice premium to justify charging so much. We could all go make juice as good or better DIY for pennies if we weren't so lazy.Fortunately many vendors have figured that out, and premium tasting juice in big bottles at reasonable prices is not hard to find.
So anyway I am auditioning a bunch of custard vapes to replace Nick's as my all day vape. What I am looking for is juice that performs well and delivers juicy, saturated flavor. Today's entry is Vape Wild On Cloud Custard. This vendor offers big bottles at good prices and has a solid reputation among vapers on the web, so it was one of the first custards I ordered on this journey.
Over the years I've had vendors send me juice to review free of charge. Don't expect a better review because the juice was gratis. My reviews are 100% my opinion, which is an opinion after all so take it as such, but my integrity is uncompromisable. The vast majority of the 200+ juice reviews I've done were done on juice that I paid for. Either way, the review is never affected by who paid for it. Today's review juice was purchased by me and not a gift.
I will be vaping this 3mg MaxVG juice at 28.5w with a .5 ohm build in my Kanger Subtank Mini, mounted on an iPV Mini 30w mod. The flavor boost option was chosen, as I feel all 70% VG or better juices need it.
The nose of this juice is right on the money, sweet, buttery, vanilla and a hint of egg.
The flavor on inhale is vanilla and butter, and it's not the strongest part of this vape. It's not weak and does not hurt the overall impression, it just doesn't put as much of itself up front. Throat/lung hit, or core satisfaction, is average. It does the job and doesn't give more or less than you expect.
The flavor on exhale is where the flavors of this juice really open up. There is a good balance between the butter and vanilla, and the slightly sour, somewhat savory egg-y note is rich and rounds out the body. Would I describe this as a decadently rich, egg-y custard? No, but the egg is there. The overall flavor presentation is very balanced between the component elements. Vapor production doesn't really warrant mentioning, because all 70% VG and better juices fog the room, and this one is no exception.
Vape Wild has prices I would have to describe as great. Is this my new all day vape in my search for the perfect and affordable custard? No. I would like the flavor to be a little more saturated, and I would like the egginess to be more pronounced and rich. The presentation of the flavors is very balanced and very integrated. I think any vaper making the custard juice rounds needs to try this one, because it may be your perfect custard. Not mine, but I can see myself ordering it again regardless as it's a solid vape at a great price. Above average, a very solid juice for the money, and if I don't gush over how much I love it I can at the very least recommend it. Good stuff.
