When I stumbled across BlueMist Vaping I was excited to try their tobacco juice. Here was a vendor that was offering USA made juice with some interesting flavors at a price level almost as low as some vendors I am notorious for thinking have crap juice. If they were good it would be a great find, because the price was really reasonable.
I ordered three of Rob's tobacco juices and have let them sit for two or three weeks. I was hoping they would be great out of the mail, because Rob had a Thanksgiving special with 150ml bottles for only $20. 150ml, Are you kidding me? That's like a Big Gulp!
The impression I had with these juices is that they needed to sit for a little bit before I made any conclusions about them. Today I am reviewing the first of the three tobaccos I ordered, Robacco, which is BlueMist Vaping's straight tobacco. With any luck this juice will be Analog Replacement Sweepstakes material.
I will be vaping this 24mg PG blend on my 3.7v Copper 510.
The nose of this juice is odd. It doesn't really say tobacco. The only way I can describe it is that if you've ever had a vendor's juice that was supposed to be tobacco but you got no actual tobacco out of it, that's how this smells. It does not have an unpleasant aroma, it's just not tobacco-y or smoky, and I can't be more specific than that.
Flavor on inhale does provide a tobacco element, with just a trace of harshness at the top of the throat. Throat hit is about what you'd expect of a 24mg tobacco juice, which is to say good. Flavor on exhale produces that dryness that accompanies analog tobacco, but all three of these BlueMist Vaping tobaccos have a similar flavor component to them, and it's odd. I can't quite put my finger on it to describe it. It is kind of a non-tobacco-y spiciness coupled with a soft, almost sweet finish, and that is not doing the flavor justice. It's not nutty, and if I keep chain vaping this juice to figure out how to put a name on it I am gonna vape myself sick.
Most tobacco vapes don't really end up tasting very much like a cigarette, so it's a combination of their flavor and their performance that either hooks us or doesn't. BlueMist Vaping performs pretty well, but there is something about the flavor that puts me off a little, and it's in all three of their tobaccos that I have. Lastly, there is that familiar ash tray component from the tobacco absolute Rob uses. That is not a negative. It adds to the illusion. The tobacco absolute ash tray note is more defined in this juice than any juice I have vaped that uses tobacco absolute. It doesn't make me want to go brush my teeth or anything, but it's stronger than most.
Vapor production of this juice is average for a PG blend.
In the end BlueMist Vaping Robacco provides a dry, robust tobacco vape, but with a flavor profile that baffles me. It doesn't do it for me, but as subjective as taste is this may be the best tobacco juice you ever tried. I kind of feel like I know less about this juice than when I started.
