I've been on a roll with new juices. I've bought about half a dozen untried juices in the last week, and two of them are solid It's Alive! winners. That's a good run. In fact one of them is my new every day vape. I'm not going to write about juice yet though. VW vaping, RDAs, RTAs, twisting my own coils and wicking them, this is all stuff that is new to me, and until I'm sure that I'm getting the best vape I can put together I am keeping my mouth shut about other people's products.
It took me a couple days just to throw a combination together that was vapeable. Right now I am vaping 6mg (you would have won that bet because I never, ever thought I'd vape that low) mostly VG. Totally satisfying, and I'm burning through juice about twice as fast I'm sure.
I'm using an iPV Mini, and so far I am really impressed. This is a killer $50 mod. Super impressive at the price. I have a Vulcan RDA on it, single coil with one of the air holes taped off, 1.8 ohm 30awg coil. Think I'll get some 28awg next and shoot for the 1.0-1.4 range. I am getting great flavor from this combo at 15w, which I know is sissy compared to what you guys are vaping, but I am just trying to get this all dialed in yet and this is the first combo I've put together that I can sit and comfortably vape all day. The Vulcan has great flavor and air flow is a little restricted, which works for me as I vape mouth to lung.
I have a Kanger Subtank Mini on preorder, and a Kayfun v4 clone coming for Mrs. Dr.. I'm looking at an Aqua v2 and a Magma clone for myself and if the Magma works for me Mrs. Dr. gets the Vulcan to replace her Igo-W2, which vapes well but I hate hate hate working on. So for the time being, I am getting my gear dialed in. Once I am comfortable that I am getting the best vape possible on the equipment I have, you may see the occasional juice review here.
It's been almost a thousand days since my last article, where have I been? Why?
When my relationship with the producer of Vapenstein Blend deteriorated I was very disappointed. I was upset about all the ideas that would never transition to product. I was upset that my friendship with my partner was over. I just didn't want to be involved in vaping in any public way.
I have both good and bad things to say about my former partner, as he assuredly does about me. There won't be any airing of dirty laundry on my part. It's unfortunate that the relationship ended the way it did, and that is that.
I am vaping Halo Captain Jack on a Silver Bullet with a 306LR Joye atty. Sound familiar? It should, because that was what I was vaping last time we touched base. Mrs. Dr. and myself have been vaping in a bubble these last three years, using the same devices and the same juices we always have.
I just got us new hardware. Mrs. Dr. got an Eleaf iStick with an IGO-W2, and I picked up an IPV Mini with a Vulcan for myself. I haven't even really vaped mine yet other than to check that it works. I've got a coil built in it and I have some 100% VG juice in today's mail, with more on the way.

Russ (@burnt_wick) hosted a show on Vapers Place last night that turned controversial early in the episode. The heart of the matter is this VapeTV document, linked by Russ on Twitter. According to VapeTV this document has been rewritten and is not current, which doesn't really affect the article I am writing today.
I will say that the conversation between Russ and Lu degenerated into name calling on Lu's part in response to Russ' pot stirring. I don't know what the relationship is between these guys and I don't care. Lu provides a good vaping resource with VapeTV, and Russ has a good show on Vapers Place, and prior to that had arguably the best show that VapeTV offered at the time. I'm not here to pick sides or pile on, so for the rest of this I am going to stick to the meat and potatoes of the real issue.
Everyone who makes quality content for the web deserves to profit from it. I'll talk about me for a minute, but the points I make apply to anyone making content for the web. I do Vapenstein because I wanted to create a quality vaping resource. That was, is and always will be my primary motivation.
