It's been almost a thousand days since my last article, where have I been? Why?
When my relationship with the producer of Vapenstein Blend deteriorated I was very disappointed. I was upset about all the ideas that would never transition to product. I was upset that my friendship with my partner was over. I just didn't want to be involved in vaping in any public way.
I have both good and bad things to say about my former partner, as he assuredly does about me. There won't be any airing of dirty laundry on my part. It's unfortunate that the relationship ended the way it did, and that is that.
I am vaping Halo Captain Jack on a Silver Bullet with a 306LR Joye atty. Sound familiar? It should, because that was what I was vaping last time we touched base. Mrs. Dr. and myself have been vaping in a bubble these last three years, using the same devices and the same juices we always have.
I just got us new hardware. Mrs. Dr. got an Eleaf iStick with an IGO-W2, and I picked up an IPV Mini with a Vulcan for myself. I haven't even really vaped mine yet other than to check that it works. I've got a coil built in it and I have some 100% VG juice in today's mail, with more on the way.
I have been vaping on Mrs. Dr.'s iStick a little, and that thing is crazy good for a $30 device. If the iStick is the eGo of 2015, we have come a long way in the three years I've been absent. The iStick is not without its flaws, but the performance it offers at its price point is amazing to me.
High voltage vaping never worked for me back in the day, most likely because I never had the right resistance attys for the 5v I was vaping at. It made all my juice taste burnt, and I stuck to 3.7v and LR attys. The possibilities of VW vaping do not escape me, and I'm kind of excited about vaping for the first time in a long while. The freedom to tailor your perfect vape is liberating, and RDAs open up the door to juices that I wouldn't have vaped before, because who cares if you need a new coil on your RDA? It's a few cents instead of $5 a pop.
So I'm a noob all over again as I explore and get comfortable with all this new gear, and I'm kind of enthusiastic about vaping again for the first time in a long while. I think it's safe to say without committing myself to something I won't follow through on, that you can expect to see the occasional juice review from The Lab right here on this page.
Nice to see you guys again, hope the last three years has been good to you.
